Filmmaker Edward Yang dies at 59
Filmmaker Edward Yang has died in Beverly Hills, Calif., at 59, after a long battle with colon cancer.

John D. Ford, Dec. 8, 1946 - March 30, 2009, passed away peacefully at his home in Kenwood, with his wife at his side, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. He was a native San Franciscan and a proud member of the San Francisco Fire Department who retired in 2001, after a 30-year career.
Mike Fitzpatrick was told he had colon cancer in June. It was stage three cancer, which means it had spread to his lymph nodes.
